Bolts, preloaded bolts, and welds are checked according to IS 800: Indian Standard, General Construction in Steel, Code of Practice (Third Revision). Concrete in bearing is designed according to IS 456: Indian Standard, Plain and Reinforced Concrete, Code of Practice (Fourth revision).
